The Oasis / Privacy

Privacy policy

Effective

Impulse AI LLC develops The Oasis. This policy covers this project website and our private prototype. Testing is limited to invited adults aged 18 or over. Epic sign-in, invitations and voice are under integration; their description below does not mean these features are publicly available.

This website and support

This static site has no forms, JavaScript, advertising trackers or external fonts. We do not set cookies on it. Netlify hosts the site and processes basic requests, including IP address, browser details, requested page and time, to deliver and protect it. See Netlify’s privacy statement.

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We and our email provider process that correspondence to deliver messages, answer questions and handle support or privacy requests. Please do not send passwords.

Your profile and progress

The game saves a profile on your device: a generated identifier, display name, avatar selections, comfort preferences, dominant hand, seated mode, standing eye-height calibration and preparation completion. An Epic identifier is saved if you connect your account. These records support your identity, appearance and controls.

When you join a hosted universe, the host’s PC saves your member identifier, credits, purchases, completed activities, reward cooldowns and transaction records with timestamps. Progress belongs to that host’s universe. This prototype does not use a company-operated central progress database.

Information shared during play

The host and other participants receive information needed for shared play: identifiers, display name, avatar appearance, location, head and hand movement, standing eye height, seated state, expressions and interactions. Relevant control preferences also reach the host. Other players can see your name and current location in the session roster. The game does not routinely save a history of your tracked movement.

Epic and headset services

When enabled, Epic handles account sign-in, invitations, presence, connections and party voice. The integration requests basic profile, friends-list and presence access for those features. We do not receive your Epic password. You can review or revoke access in Epic’s account permissions.

Epic and your headset provider process information under their own policies. Read the Epic Games privacy policy and, when using Quest, Meta’s supplemental privacy policy. Those services are separate from this website.

Voice choices

The microphone starts muted. In a voice-enabled Epic lobby, you can choose open microphone or push-to-talk, select audio devices and mute individual participants. Voice is transmitted to the party when enabled. The Oasis does not implement voice recording or transcription. Other participants may independently record what they hear; our controls cannot prevent that.

Diagnostics and advertising

Local game logs can contain device details, connection addresses, identifiers, player names and errors. Development checks can produce diagnostic reports and screenshots. We may review copies shared for troubleshooting. The current prototype has no custom analytics uploader, advertising system or personal-data sales.

Retention and your choices

Local profiles and host saves, including earlier checkpoint versions, remain until deleted. The prototype has no automatic expiry or in-game deletion screen. Diagnostic files and support correspondence remain until the person or service holding them deletes them; provider records follow their own settings and policies.

For access, correction or deletion of copies controlled by Impulse AI LLC, email impulseaisupport@impulseai.ai. We can help identify local files and coordinate with a host. We cannot directly erase copies held by independent hosts or platform providers. Removing local files or revoking Epic access does not automatically remove those separate copies.

We will update this page and its effective date when these practices change. If you have questions, or believe information from someone under 18 was provided during testing, contact the same support address.
